Mammoth Hot Springs, is a large slab of limestone forming travertine as the pressure and explosive caldera finds fissures, which causes hot springs having been formed from captured snow and rain, burst out of surfaces forming the travertine mineral on a terrace, patterned and steeped in rich colour which can change flow overnight and form another terrace elsewhere in time..
